Both of the boards and end pages are missing, but likely fully bound in leather covered boards due to the remains of the joints on the spine. Written in pencil on the title page is "TSL 129" and stamped onto the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
