Written in pencil on the front paste-down are a series of bibliographers notes relating to this volume. On the front free end-page there are 2 labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the Laurence Sterne Trust, 1986". Written on the title page in ink is a previous owners signature "Thos. Assheton" with "State 1 Copy 3 TSL 150" written in pencil above. Stamped onto the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection". Booksellers comments are on the rear paste-down.
