The volume is fully bound in speckled leather boards (front board missing). Pasted onto the reverse of the front free end-page are 2 small white labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil on the front free end-page are faded bibliographers comments by KM and stamped onto the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside.
