The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman. Volume 8

The volume is fully bound with speckled calf covered boards with red mottled edges to the text block. On the front paste-down there is 1 label in the centre with "July 1993 the Gift of Pippa Corner". Written in ink underneath is a previous owners signature which has been crossed out in the past possibly "James Bell"?. This signature and crossing-out is repeated on the top of the title page. Written in pencil on the front free end-page are 4 lines of writing, which is unclear. See original. Stamped onto the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside. Written in ink on the foot of the rear paste-down are booksellers comments, and in pencil on the top of the front free ene-page is "No 1/2 title".
