The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman. Signed Volume 9

The volume is fully bound with speckled calf covered boards with red mottled edges to the text block. On the front paste-down there is 1 label in the centre with "July 1993 the Gift of Pippa Corner". Written in ink underneath is a previous owners signature which has been crossed out in the past possibly "James Bell"?. This signature and crossing-out is repeated on the top of the half-title page. Stamped onto the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside. Written in ipencil to the top of the rear free end-page are booksellers comments.
