This volume is fully bound in leather covered boards. Pasted onto the top left of the front paste-down is a small white label with "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Written underneath this is "James Crawther (?) Broom Hill July 28 1836". Bibliographers comments by KM are written on the front free and-page. Written to the top of Volume 1 page 9 is writing in ink which has been cropped off and on the foot of volume 2 page 240 is "End" in the same hand. Written in pencil on the rear free end-page is "(Sterne, Laurence).
