This volume is half bound in brown leather (calf) with marbled boards (Nonpareil Pattern). Pasted onto the top left corner of the front paste-down is a small label with "From the Collection of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Written in pencil to the top of the front free end-page is "1761 1st edn £110". There is a small "errata" note pasted onto the bottom of page 281. Rev Laurence Sterne is credited on page XVI as a subscriber.
