This volume is fully bound in brown leather (?) covered boards with pale green/cream end-pages; a replacement binding and end-pages. Pasted onto the top left corner of the front paste-down is 1 small white label "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Written in pencil on the front free end-page is "AT" & "£80" & "Pirated C18 Southampton Imprint 2 vols in 2 (John Hall-Stevenson) Friend of Sterne". Pasted onto the (now) 2nd front fly-leaf is a repaired large bookplate with "This Book Belongs to T Baker's Circulating Library, Southampton...". In pencil on the head of the title page is "81613".
