This 9 volume set has been re-bound with Combed Paste-Paper coverd boards and a leather spine. Written in pencil on the front free end-page is "Variant on p. 97" and in ink on the title page are the feint remains of a previous owners signature "Tho Thos" (?). Sterne's signature appears to the top of page 1.Stamped on the bottom of the rear paste-down is "J; Henderson of York". The catchword to the bottom right of each page. LSS
