This volume is fully bound in leather over boards, and the edges of the text block have been stained green. In the centre of the page is the oval bookplate of "Richd Cox, Quarley, Hants".On the reverse of the front free end-page are 3 lines of pencil noted relating to the variations within these 2 volumes. On the top of the title page, although cut through, is "C?? 70" (?) (Could be Cox 17??) . On the obverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside it. A silk (?) green bookmark is between pages 88=89.
