This volume is bound in marbled boards, Nonpareil pattern with green leather spine and corners. The paste-downs's and end-pages are comprised of single sheets of marbled paper, Nonpareil pattern; the edges of the text block have also been decorated with this marbling. There are 2 labels on the front paste-down; On the top left are "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". There are some pencil notes on the top of the front free end-page. On the reverse of the title page is a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre.
