This volume is bound in marbled boards, Papier Tourniquet pattern, with a leather spine and corners and marbled edges to the text block, Italian pattern. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986" on the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. There are some pencil comments on the rear paste-down, likely binder or bookseller's comments.
