Diamond Window by Anne Vibeke Mou

Description

16 panes of handmade glass etched with the point of a solitaire diamond by artist Anne Vibeke Mou. Anne Vibeke used the ancient Japanese art of Suminagashi or ‘ink floating’ to produce the marbled paper, which guided her engravings. The windowpanes were installed in the dining room at Shandy Hall in June 2016.

Commissioned by The Laurence Sterne Trust with support from Arts&Heritage.  Installation by Barley Studio.

The booklet A Window for Shandy Hall was produced in an edition of 300, with an essay by Patrick Wildgust, Curator, The Laurence Sterne Trust at Shandy Hall.
