Bound in blue gilt-tooled buckram with gilt edges to the text block. The frontispiece is, “Laurence Sterne, from an engraving by E.Fisher after the portrait by Sir Joshua Reynolds, P.R.A”. There are 100 illustrations.

History

The book was purchased in 1986. Written in ink on the top half of the half-title is a previous owner’s signature “R.E. Preston”.
